This privacy policy explains how we process personal data when you visit our website, download resources, subscribe to the Production AI Radar, or contact us about consulting services. It applies under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German BDSG.

2. What data we process

2.1 Website visit

When you access this site, our host (Vercel) processes technical data such as IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, and timestamps in server logs for security, stability, and performance. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).

2.2 Analytics (with consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. No advertising profiles are created. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw consent via the cookie banner or browser settings.

2.3 Contact and audit requests

When you submit our contact form or email us, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, work email, company, message, selected service intent) to respond and qualify engagements. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (business communication).

2.4 Resource downloads and radar subscription

If you download gated playbooks or subscribe to the Production AI Radar, we process your email address and related metadata to deliver the resource and, where stated, send relevant technical updates. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where you request a specific deliverable.

2.5 Consulting engagements

For paid stack assessments, sprints, and retainers, we process business contact data, contractual information, and — within the agreed scope — technical environment data required to deliver the service. A separate data processing agreement (DPA) applies where we process personal data on your behalf.

3. Recipients and processors

• Vercel Inc. — hosting, analytics (USA/EU). Transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses) where applicable.
• Resend — email delivery for radar subscriptions (if configured). Used only when you opt in to email capture features.

We do not sell personal data. We disclose data only when required by law or with your explicit instruction.

4. Retention

• Server logs: typically up to 30 days unless required for security incidents.
• Contact inquiries: up to 24 months after last interaction, unless a contract continues.
• Contract and project data: per statutory commercial and tax retention (generally 6–10 years in Germany).
• Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe or object.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

• Restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20)
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
